Rescue Diver

Description 

Scuba divers describe the PADI Rescue Diver course as the most challenging and most rewarding course they’ve ever taken. Why? Because you learn to prevent and manage problems in the water, and become more confident in your skills as a diver, knowing that you can help others if needed. During the PADI Rescue Diver course, you learn to become a better buddy by practicing problem solving skills so they can become a second nature.

The PADI Rescue Diver course is also the stepping stone to the PADI Divemaster course.

You will be qualified for

  • Diving together with a buddy to the maximum depth you’ve been trained for
  • Continue your scuba diver career by becoming a PADI Master Scuba Diver and taking certain specialty diver courses or starting your first professional level : PADI Divemaster

Organization

The PADI Rescue Diver course consists of three main phases :

  • 1 day in confined water (pool) to learn rescue skills
  • 1 day in open water to use your rescue skills and explore

General information

  • Minimum age: 12 years
  • Prerequisites: (junior) Advanced Open Water Diver or equivalent
  • N° of dives : 2 (1 day), at Phi Phi Islands
  • Max depth: 12 meters
  • Duration: 2 days
  • Student/Instructor ratio: 4:1 max
  • Price: 10,900 baht (plus national park fee)
    14,500 baht (if combined with EFR course) – (plus national park fee)

National park

  • National park entrance fee (valid for 3 days) : 400 Baht
  • National park diving fee (valid for 1 day) : 200 Baht
    (Discounts apply for children under 15)
