Scuba Diver

Description 

The PADI Scuba Diver course is a subset of the PADI Open Water Diver course.
If you’re short on a time but really want become a diver, the PADI Scuba Diver rating might be right for you. Also, if you feel like you need professional assistance or you feel more comfortable not going too deep, and always want to dive with a professional, the PADI Scuba Diver course is a good starting point.

You will be qualified for

  • Diving under the direct supervision of a PADI professional to a maximum depth of 12 meters
  • Continue dive training by completing the PADI Open Water Diver certification and taking certain specialty diver courses.

Organization

The PADI Scuba Diver course consists of three main phases :

  • Knowledge development (Online independent study or in the classroom) to understand basic principles of scuba diving
  • Confined water dives (pool) to learn basic scuba skills
  • Open water dives to use your skills and explore

General information

  • Minimum age: 10 years
  • Prerequisites: must be comfortable in the water
  • Pool sessions: 1
  • N° of dives : 2 (1 day), at Phi Phi Islands
  • Max depth: 12 meters
  • Duration: 2 days
  • Student/Instructor ratio: 4:1 max
  • Price: 10,900 Baht (plus national park fee)

National park

  • Marine park entrance fee (valid for 3 days) : 400 Baht
  • Marine park diving fee (Valid for 1 day) : 200 baths
    (Discounts apply for children under 15)
