Yann Guillet
PADI Course Director
Krabi PADI 5 ★ IDC & CDC Center.

My name is Yann Guillet, and I am a PADI Course Director based in Krabi, Thailand. Originally from Martinique and Brittany, France, I grew up in Geneva, Switzerland.
I discovered scuba diving in Thailand in 1992. Fascinated by the underwater world, I decided to turn my passion into a career and became a diving professional in 1994. Today, I have logged more than 7,000 dives and accumulated over 30 years of experience in the diving industry.
After completing extensive professional training, I achieved the PADI Course Director rating, the highest professional level within PADI. This qualification enables me to train and mentor future scuba diving instructors throughout their professional development.
Throughout my career, I have trained and certified more than 3,000 PADI divers, from beginners to professional levels, including Divemasters, Instructors, and IDC Staff Instructors.
I strongly believe that first aid skills are essential in any sporting activity, and especially in scuba diving. For this reason, I further expanded my expertise by becoming an Emergency First Response Instructor Trainer. This qualification allows me to train future first aid instructors and contribute to improving safety standards within our industry.
I have worked in the diving industry around the world, including Thailand, Egypt, the Maldives, Switzerland, and France. This international experience has provided me with extensive knowledge and expertise in both diver training and dive operation management.
As a PADI Course Director, I regularly conduct PADI Instructor Development Courses (IDC) in Krabi, Thailand, as well as in Switzerland. These locations offer excellent opportunities for candidates to gain valuable real-world experience within the diving industry.
My goal is to provide a welcoming, professional, and inspiring learning environment where every candidate can quickly feel at home and confidently work toward achieving their PADI Instructor certification.
Tash
PADI IDC Staff Instructor

My name is Tash, and I am originally from Thailand. I discovered my passion for scuba diving through the fascinating world of macro marine life. With a keen eye for the ocean’s smallest wonders—especially nudibranchs and seahorses—I love sharing this fascination with others.
I am fluent in both Thai and English, allowing me to communicate effectively and support divers from a wide range of backgrounds in a welcoming and professional environment.
As a PADI IDC Staff Instructor, I am dedicated to mentoring future dive professionals, helping them develop the knowledge, confidence, and safety-focused mindset required to become exceptional instructors. My goal is to support and inspire candidates throughout their journey while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and diver education.
Benjamin Rochefort
PADI IDC Staff Instructor
DEJEPS and FFESSM Diving Instructor

Like many divers, I discovered scuba diving during a trip to Indonesia in 2017. That first dive immediately sparked a passion and an irresistible desire to keep exploring the underwater world.
I continued my training within a French diving club over the following three years, earning my first two diving certifications and building a solid foundation in recreational diving.
In 2021, I decided to pursue a new professional career path. I continued my training through the French Federation of Underwater Studies and Sports (FFESSM), progressing to Level 4 (Dive Leader) before beginning my journey toward becoming a professional diving instructor.
In 2022, I joined the CREPS of Montpellier to undertake the French State Diploma for Diving Instructors (DEJEPS), which I successfully obtained in 2023.
Eager to broaden my skills and gain experience with an internationally recognized training system, I joined Sawasdee Divers in 2024 to complete my PADI professional training. With the support and guidance of Yann and his team, I became a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor that same year.
Continuing this exciting adventure, I was delighted to join the Sawasdee Divers team for the 2025–2026 season.
I am fluent in both French and English, allowing me to communicate effectively with divers and instructor candidates from a wide range of backgrounds and nationalities.
Today, I have the privilege of sharing my passion for scuba diving professionally and introducing divers to the incredible diversity of the underwater world. I have a special appreciation for nudibranchs—small but fascinating marine creatures whose remarkable colors and forms perfectly showcase the beauty of the ocean.
I am also passionate about underwater photography and enjoy capturing these unique moments to share the wonders we encounter beneath the surface.
Most recently, I continued my professional development by earning the PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer (MSDT) and IDC Staff Instructor ratings.
I look forward to meeting you and sharing my passion for scuba diving with you.
